Dear RDF Star Working Group, During our recent discussions, we've considered a potential direction for the future of RDF and related specifications. We've chosen to share this on the mailing list as a reference point for those inquiring about the goals and scope of our working group. The proposal under contemplation is the transition to a "Living Standard" model. A "living standard" is a continuously updated and improved specification that reflects more rapid developments and adaptations. This model is utilized by standards like the HTML specification managed by the WHATWG, enabling immediate adjustments in response to technological changes. Since 2021, the W3C process provides a similar update process for Recommendations [1], provided that the WG explicitly opts in for this process. At this time, this idea is simply under consideration, with no official resolution yet made. We aim to maintain transparency about our potential direction, and we'll continue to update you as we delve deeper into this possibility. Best regards, Ora Lassila Adrian Gschwend Chairs of the RDF-star Working Group [1] https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#revised-rec-features
