Just weighing in on this point...

I'm fine with having most of the test cases include a @profile attribute.

To argue for Dan's point - if we say we SHOULD do something, we should
do so in the test suite as a general rule. It would make it seem a bit
inconsistent if we willingly go against something that even we say we
should do.

That being said, the test suite should also test to make sure that
@profile isn't needed to generate triples - that should be a separate test.
