Since the '#' technique is already in the syntax document, and since it is the easiest to configure, my vote would be to stick with that approach. Which means that all we're discussing is that we need to replace the actual URI with one that has the word 'relations' in it, in the same way that we did with 'datatypes' in XHTML M12N. I'll raise that on the XHTML 2 call today. Unfortunately Steven won't be there, but I'll see what Shane and the others think, and then perhaps we can follow up on this on tomorrow's RDFa call. The only issue I can foresee--assuming of course that people accept the benefits of having a different URI--is that in XHTML M12N we use a '/' at the end of the datatypes definition. However, since that document is still a working draft, and since that URI is (for now) only used internally in the schemas, I'll propose that we consider changing that to use '#' also.
