Re: update on Primer

Manu,

Glad you like the new draft! I tried to take your comments into account
as much as possible.

I appreciate all of your comments quite a bit, so I hope you won't take
my feedback negatively: I have to keep some common threads with the
previous drafts, which were the result of significant feedback from
other folks, too... so by default I'm going to be against changing
things that have only marginal impact or that take a while. We need to
focus on wrapping this up :)

I'm using XML+XSLT to write this, which makes merging your changes
tough. My brain is also dead from looking at this too much: can you tell
me what you've changed and I'll do some XML editing?

That would be a big change in terms of checking all the markup again,
and coming up with a consistent storyline. I don't think this example is
all that difficult to follow, is it?

I agree with making the language simpler. We do need to keep some
understanding that things are generic, though. This is not about
publishing events, this is about publishing structured data, some of
which could be, for example, an event. That's also a way to mark the
difference with microformats, which talk exclusively about specific domains.

I don't see the benefit for such a short document. We already have a TOC
with links to each section. This would also be a big departure from
existing W3C documents.

I would love to see your edits, but if you can provide them to me in
diff form, that would be much better. You may want to hold off on the
rest until I've done more work to reintegrate the older stuff on layered
data...
