We're currently testing our new SPARQL parser/engine and ran into an issue with the DAWG syntax test cases. According to http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/tests/data/SyntaxFull/manifest.ttl , specifically DAWG-approved tests syntax-bnodes-03.rq and syntax-bnodes-04.rq, it is legal syntax to have blank node labels in the predicate position. (either [] or _:a). However, in the current rq24 grammar there is no production rule for this. I vaguely remember this being a topic for discussion but could not find relevant mail in the archive (btw my firefox 2.0 seems to have some trouble with navigating the mailinglist archive, anybody else having problems?). So any idea what the current status is? Which is correct, the grammar or the test case?
