Folks, I've updated the protocol editor's draft: $Revision: 1.36 $ of $Date: 2005/05/14 18:08:45 $ http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/proto-wd/ (as well as the associated WSDL and Schema files). Notable changes: Removed: - Interfaces: SparqlGraph, SparqlDiscovery, SparqlMaintenance, SparqlQueryX - Glossary, reference to SOAP stubs, XSLT stuff - SADDLE, MalformedRequest fault - SparqlX serialization format, WSDL 2.0 semantics appendix Added: - example SELECT trace, example CONSTRUCT trace, example ASK trace I consider these updates to satisfy several of my outstanding ACTIONs, and I propose the following issue resolutions based on them: 1. Close fromUnionQuery, with the comment that the protocol draft needs more example traces, including ones where there are named graphs in the RDF dataset and ones where the the RDF dataset is set only in the query proper (i.e., a query with FROM and FROM NAMED bits) and in both the protocol and in the query proper. 2. Close wsdlAbstractProtocol, which I own, with the comment that I consider the protocol draft as of 1.36 and http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/sparql-protocol-query.wsdl to satisfy the issue. (Note: sparql-protocol-query.wsdl isn't *complete*, yet, as details of the HTTP bindings have to be finalized and there are some issues about the <service>, but these do not impinge on the *abstract* protocol description.) 3. Close xmlAbstractSyntax, which I own, without further comment. 4. Close serviceDescription, with the comment that Yoshio has an outstanding ACTION related to the serviceDescription issue, and I'm not sure of the propriety of closing an issue till all its birds have come home to roost. Best, Kendall Clark
