I think of an R2RML mapping as being tied to a domain ontology and an RDB schema (where schema in this context means the names and types of tables and columns). I think that R2RML mapping can then be deployed to various hosts, db engines, etc. I think this is different than what you are describing, or perhaps I misunderstood? -David
