https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29252 Bug ID: 29252 Summary: [xslt 3.0] Use of BCP 47 algorithm for matching language codes Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Last Call drafts Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XSLT 3.0 Assignee: mike@saxonica.com Reporter: mike@saxonica.com QA Contact: public-qt-comments@w3.org Target Milestone: --- In message https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-qt-comments/2015Oct/0115.html I18N suggested to XSLT WG that we should reference BCP 47 (specifically RFC 4647) and point out that the algorithm we use is defined in that RFC. XSLT WG agreed to this request. The WG decided to make this a non-normative reference, to reduce the risk of getting it wrong (given that to do it formally requires careful mapping of terminology to ensure that the inputs and outputs of the algorithm are unambiguous. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
