https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=27660 Bug ID: 27660 Summary: [xslt 3.0] Problems with xs:accumulator/@applies-to Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Last Call drafts Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XSLT 3.0 Assignee: mike@saxonica.com Reporter: mike@saxonica.com QA Contact: public-qt-comments@w3.org Arising from the review of accumulators (see bug #27273), various problems were identified with the semantics of the @applies-to attribute: in particular, it did not appear to meet its original purpose, of enabling a streaming processor to know whether or not a particular accumulator was applicable to a particular source document. After extensive email discussion the WG decided on an alternative approach to define the relationship between accumulators and documents, based on a @use-accumulators attribute on xsl:stream, xsl:merge-source, and xsl:global-context-item. The proposal in message https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xsl-wg/2014Dec/0018.html (member-only) (plus a follow-up in 2014Dec/0019.html) was accepted by the WG, with minor changes recorded in the minutes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
