Bug ID: 20451
Summary: [F+O 3.0] Type errors vs dynamic errors
Classification: Unclassified
Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT
Version: Last Call drafts
Hardware: PC
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Functions and Operators 3.0
Assignee: mike@saxonica.com
Reporter: mike@saxonica.com
QA Contact: public-qt-comments@w3.org
The F+O specification is not always clear about which errors are type errors
and which errors are dynamic errors. The distinction affects whether the error
can be raised statically, and whether it can be caught using try/catch.
