http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11682 --- Comment #8 from Daniela Florescu <dflorescu@mac.com> 2011-01-11 07:09:25 UTC --- In response to comment #5. Jim, you make it sound like my interest is to make myself listened. Honestly, I don't care about that. I care about XQuery not talking decisions that make no technical sense. And in 2011 taking a decision that ignores the fact that a single query could be executed in distributed fashion, in parallel on a large set of machines, in a cloud or virtualized infrastructure or such, is-- how can I say it politely ? -- terribly naive. In such environments such functions make no sense. No single reply to my bug actually answered my concerns listed in comment #2. The WG can take any decision it wants about it. I can even close the bug if the decision of the group is such. (But this bug, and its answers, will remain logged for posterity :-) Best regards Dana -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
