http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=2985 Summary: [Update] modifying the components of the dynamic environment Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Working drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Update Facility AssignedTo: andrew.eisenberg@us.ibm.com ReportedBy: jim.melton@acm.org QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org (Originally reported by Dana F.) Should the update facility provide means to modify some components of the dynamic environment? In particular this question concerns the following components: (a) the variable values (b) the available documents (c) the available collections Should we be able for example to add a new document to the set of available documents ? Or should we be able to modify the sequence of items that is bound to a certain variable name as part of the dynamic environment ? What about modifying the other components (e.g. implicit timezone, default collection, etc) ?
