The Query Working Group considered your comment on April 18, 2006 and agreed with Michael Rys that this comment is based on a misunderstanding. The predeclared namespace prefixes such as xs are known to the XQuery implementation but not to processes outside the XQuery context such as document validators. The working group believes that no changes are needed to the current specification. I have marked this entry as "Invalid". If you agree with this resolution, please close the Bugzilla entry.
