http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=3116 Summary: Editorial: "normal semantics of except and union" don't apply Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Working drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Full Text AssignedTo: sihem@research.att.com ReportedBy: holstege@mathling.com QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org Section 3.2.5 (FTStopwordOption) says Stop word lists can be combined using the usual semantics of "except" and "union". This is not quite right: except and union apply only to nodes, so the normal semantics do not apply and these are not the XQuery union and except operators.
