http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=1633 Summary: [FS] The Expr's in [Expr]Expr are not the same Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Last Call drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows 2000 Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Formal Semantics AssignedTo: simeon@us.ibm.com ReportedBy: fred.zemke@oracle.com QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org 3.2.2 Normalization judgment The example [Expr]Expr is extremely unhelpful because the symbol within the brackets and the subscript are written with the same letters, the only difference being the font. It should be pointed out that these two "Expr"s are not the same. Rather, the first Expr is a nonterminal in a grammar, whereas the second Expr is merely the name of the normalization being applied. Giving an additional example in which the two are not spelled the same would be good.
