Martin, You asked, on behalf of the I18N WG, in [1] item 17, > [17] Note at the end of 4.6: re. The XQuery book no longer speaks of DTDs at all - it's in the Data Model document, which says, "All general and external parsed entities must be fully expanded" (in section 3.2). The XQuery WG feels the XQuery specifiation no longer neesd such a pointer since the text in which it wouldhave appeared has been removed. Thank you for your comment.
