No one in either of the WGs has proposed the need for such a Primer. In fact we are trying to make the XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 language documents themselves as "usable" and "approachable" as possible and hope this makes having a Primer unnecessary. The WGs have received several other comments on the organization of this family of specifications and we are considering all of these suggestions. /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Nepean, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (613) 225-5445 Fax: (425) 936-7329 <mailto:pcotton@microsoft.com> > -----Original Message----- > From: Svgdeveloper@aol.com [mailto:Svgdeveloper@aol.com] > Sent: Thursday, October 24, 2002 4:48 AM > To: public-qt-comments@w3.org > Subject: Proposal for a Primer > > > > > > I would like to suggest that the WG produce a Primer for the group of > XQuery > 1.0 / XPath 2.0 / XSLT 2.0 specifications similar in its scope, level and > approach to Part 0 of the W3C XML Schema Recommendation. > > Andrew Watt >Received on Thursday, 24 October 2002 12:10:35 UTC
