Dear Kamata, To bring your questions some information, please allow me to refer to previous communications from the Publishing Business Group. (1) New Steering Committee Previous mail attached about the proposed Steering Committee Slate (Jan 30th 21:04). Excerpt: "This new Steering Committee will consist of the co-chairs of the Pub BG, Pub WG, and EPUB 3 CG plus leads of certain task forces of the PBG." The principle of this "72h call for consensus election of new PBG Steering Committee slate" was discussed and decided in the Jan 30 call as noted in the minutes (https://www.w3.org/2018/01/30-pbg-minutes.html). This list of candidates did receive only +1. (2) Chairs of PBG As noted in the Jan 16 PBG call minutes (https://www.w3.org/2018/01/16-pbg-minutes.html): « paul and christina are stepping back » The Feb 13 PBG call, a slightly modified Steering Committee Slate has been approved (see 2. Revised slate in https://www.w3.org/2018/02/13-pbg-minutes.html). I am expecting this decision to be soon followed by an update of the PBG participants Web page you are referring. Hoping this to be helpful for you. Your answer would be very helpful for me. (1) The followinbg people are not listed on new SC. They are out from SC? Paul Belfanti Jones & Bartlett Learning Mike Baker Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Graham Bell EDItEUR Pierre Danet Hachette Livre Leslie Hulse HarperCollins PublishersTreasurer Cristina Mussinelli Associazione Italiana Editori Eoin Noble Safari Books Online Bill McCoy The Executive Director of the IDPF My reference is: http://idpf.org/news/idpf-members-approve-plan-to-combine-with-w3c (2) Paul Belfanti and Cristina Mussinelli are not Chairs of PBG? Rick Johnson, Liisa McCloy-Kelley and Luc Audrain are co-chair. Co-chair means chair? I understand the W3C/IDPF Agreement is binding. I also understand people prefer sticking to the letter of the Agreement rather than pragmatism and a workable architecture. 0 for keeping the useless Steering Committee All in all, a +1 because this Charter is at least more conformant to W3C BG Process than the previous one. As I said earlier, I will leave the BG if it still has a handhold on the publications in the CG. I will also check if that weird CG/BG relationship is not violating W3C CG/BG Process; so be ready for that because if it does, the W3C/IDPF Agreement's provision about the BG ruling the CG is invalid...
