Hi Makoto, The EPUB accessibility specifications are quite independent of WCAG cycles at this point of time. Web community will need time to understand concepts like metadata, which are extremely important for publications. As George mentioned the EPUB Accessibility specification 1.1 would be done in EPUB 3 community group (we have not heard anything against it, so it is safe to assume this) The ideal release date for version 1.1 is early 2018, but the community group has not started the work yet, so we are not sure about it at this point of time. I hope that CG would start before June, so that we can have more deterministic information for you to present in ISO meeting. For the joint publication by W3C and ISO/IEC JTC1, we need a new work item proposal in SC34, which is followed by a three-month(?) ballot. After W3C finishes the content of EPUB Accessibility 1.1, we need a Proposed Draft Technical Specification, which is followed by a six-month(?) ballot. JWG7 is a joint WG by SC34, ISO TC46, and IEC TC100/TA10. F2F meetings of JWG7 are held twice a year: one is together with SC34 meetings, while another is together with TC46 meetings. Since I am in SC34, the F2F meeting in June (Tokyo) is good for me to raise this topic. The EPUB community working group would be the place to introduce these items. Do you intend to wait for the next version of WCAG? Regards, Makoto 2017-04-07 23:04 GMT+09:00 Avneesh Singh <avneesh.sg@gmail.com>: Dear Publishing Business group members, In our meeting at London, George and I were given task to propose the way forward for accessibility work in W3C publishing groups. We have discussed various aspects and prepared a document, the same is attached for further discussions and decisions.
