RE: Exploring possible synergies between W3C verifiable claims working group and DIN IETF

Hi Luc,

I heard back from Dan Burnett, co-chair of Verifiable Claims. He wrote:

That more immediately relevant is the work happening in the Credentials Community Group on Decentralized Identifiers [1]. This may shortly turn into a Working Group at W3C.  These identifiers are turning out to be of enormous public value and really should be(come) well known to the DINRG.

Dan also wrote that he is familiar with this group (DIN) and, in fact, attended their group at the last IETF meeting (in Montreal).  It is not immediately obvious that synchronization is required since they are focused more on replacement of existing Internet functionality.
