My understanding of where we left the sc when we discussed this last spring was that it would be the chairs of the WG, BG, and CG, and the leads on any task force that were created, with the purpose being coordination of efforts, and strategic direction(s).

The name SC may no longer be appropriate, and I agree that while we need the coordination, it should be within the bounds of the W3C process.  If nothing like that exists, we should propose amending it.

In any case we would need a coordination between the 3 groups. IMO this has been proved useful during the last year.
This what was setup with Bill McCoy: the SC being a coordination of chairs if the 3 groups of Publishing@W3C plus W3C staff.

If the problem is in the name SC, can we change it?
But there may still be a question of governance of the whole Publishing@W3C. How will this be organised?
