Hi, IDPF Exec, and PBG SC, Please see Daves comments below. Dave has been looking in to this in prep for the DAISY website revision. I think this addresses Cristina’s concern. If this is just the company names without information about people or their contact details, GDPR does not apply. Richard _____ From: George Kerscher <kerscher@montana.com <mailto:kerscher@montana.com> > Sent: Monday, October 8, 2018 10:06:13 PM To: Richard Orme; Dave Gunn Subject: FW: authorization for W3C to release names to the PBG SC Hi Richard and Dave, Perhaps you know more about this. We are asking if it is OK for the W3C to release names and status of IDPF members to the SC. The purpose is to recruit companies in to publishing activities at the W3C. Best Cristina Da: <idpf-board@googlegroups.com <mailto:idpf-board@googlegroups.com> > per conto di George Kerscher <kerscher@montana.com <mailto:kerscher@montana.com> > Data: luned́ 8 ottobre 2018 15:32 A: IDPF Executive Board <idpf-board@googlegroups.com <mailto:idpf-board@googlegroups.com> > Oggetto: authorization for W3C to release names to the PBG SC Hello, The PBG SC is asking Ralph to release the company names and if they were in good standing at the time of the combination. I think there are over 300 companies that would be identified. I believe the intent is to encourage these companies to join the W3C as full members or to join the Publishing Business Group. Just respond if you have an objection and why. Let’s give it 72 hours to object. Best George George Kerscher Ph.D. -In our Information Age, access to information is a fundamental human right.
