Dear Publishing Business Group Chairs/ Steering Committee members,

We are writing this to clarify the position of the Japanese publishing industry on the issue of EPUB 3.2. 

We support the EPUB 3.2 specifications worked by the W3C EPUB 3 Community Group as long as that comply with the features of the EBPAJ’s EPUB Production Guide. EPUB 3.2 for the W3C REC-Track is less important than maintaining the compatibility with the current EPUB based files and the reading systems.
