Hi Jun, At the time of the charter finalization, a preference was expressed for the list of concepts not to be included in the charter document, to keep it concise. Instead we opted for an explicit link to the final report, and the following text that appears in "section 2. Scope": /the Incubator Group has identified a set of concepts that will constitute the core of PIL (see Section 8.1.4 of the Incubator Group report <http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/prov/XGR-prov-20101214/#Proposed_Charter_for_a_Provenance_Interchange_Working_Group>). / I hope this clarifies this issue, Best regards, Luc On 05/10/2011 02:36 PM, Jun Zhao wrote: > Finally, this is a naive question of mine. The link [2] has mentioned "provenance concepts from the charter". I presume that you meant the list of concepts we got out in the incubator group's final report. I went to check the WG's charter page (http://www.w3.org/2011/01/prov-wg-charter). It didn't list out these concepts. I was only able to find them in the page of [3]. Is [3] also the official charter or just the proposed charter? IMO, I think it will look nice to see either this list of charter concepts properly mentioned in the official charter or something similar to make it more easier to trace. > > [3]http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/prov/XGR-prov-20101214/#Proposed_Charter_for_a_Provenance_Interchange_Working_Group > > cheers, > -- Professor Luc Moreau Electronics and Computer Science tel: +44 23 8059 4487 University of Southampton fax: +44 23 8059 2865 Southampton SO17 1BJ email: l.moreau@ecs.soton.ac.uk United Kingdom http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~lavm
