Hello Reza, We absolutely would expect many of the implementation task force members to implement the spec in their own organizations. Indeed we encourage it. The task forces role is to both identity, encourage and communicate with implementors but also to specify conformance tests Regards Paul Sent from my iPhone On Jun 29, 2011, at 9:07, "Reza B'Far" <reza.bfar@oracle.com> wrote: > Folks - > > I've filled out the Google Form distributed in this thread in support of Oracle's potential interest in building an implementation according to this specification, but I'm not sure I understand the relationship between the Task Force participants and the implementers. Can one (Ryan and I represent Oracle GRC) be both Implementation Task Force participants and an implementer since the Task Force's job seems to be to find implementers rather than be impelmenters? > > Best. > > On 6/28/11 9:03 AM, Paul Groth wrote: >> Hi Lena, >> >> Can you send the announcement below your lists as well as the Semantic Web mailing list: >> >> Anyone is free to distribute this by the way. >> >> Thanks! >> Paul >> >> --- >> The W3C Provenance Working Group [1] is working on defining a standard for provenance. >> >> The group is conducting a survey [2] to identify and connect with potential implementation stakeholders and coordinate test case development and implementation activities. >> >> If you or your organisation is developing software that might be interested in implementing (ie. generating, reading or querying) the W3C Provenance standard, the group would be grateful if you could complete this survey: http://goo.gl/rHxAg >> >> >> [1] http://www.w3.org/2011/prov/ >> [2] http://goo.gl/rHxAg >> >> ---- >> >> >> Deus, Helena wrote: >>> The W3C Provenance Working Group [1] is working on defining a standard for recording provenance. >>> >>> The group is conducting a survey [2] to identify and connect with potential implementation stakeholders and coordinate test case development and implementation activities. >>> >>> If you or your organisation is developing software that might be interested in implementing (ie. generating, reading or querying) the W3C Provenance standard, the group would be grateful if you could complete this survey:http://goo.gl/rHxAg >>> >>> >>> [1]http://www.w3.org/2011/prov/ >>> [2]http://goo.gl/rHxAg >>> >> > >
