Hi DAS WG, FYI PING, This is a Call for Consensus to publish the Geolocation API as a First Public Working Draft. Please review the latest Editor's Draft [1] (change summary at [2]). If you have any concerns with this plan, please reply to public-device-apis@w3.org by 26 April 2021. Silence is considered consent. The group appreciates in particular a thorough editorial review of the entire text by all stakeholders. Rationale: Since the Recommendation published 8 November 2016 [3], the spec has been adopted by DAS WG and subsequently hardened for security and privacy in line with the group's commitment for secure and privacy-preserving APIs. These changes add new features such as integration with the Permissions specification to handle permission grants and integration with the Permissions Policy specification that defines a new policy mechanism. The following normative references have been added since the last publication [3]: [HTML] [infra] [page-visibility-2] [Permissions] [Permissions-Policy] [RFC8174] [secure-contexts] (Due to the new features introduced in the latest Editor's Draft, as a change from the earlier CfC [4], we now plan to publish a First Public Working Draft instead of an Amended Recommendation.)
