Privacy review of the Remote Playback API?

Dear Privacy Interest Group,

The Second Screen Working Group would like to review a privacy review of the Remote Playback API:

  http://w3c.github.io/remote-playback/

The Remote Playback API reuses the same concepts as the Presentation API, which you reviewed last year. The Second Screen WG is still working on technical details of the API but the API surface can be considered stable.

We believe the privacy concerns that this spec raises are similar to those triggered by the Presentation API, and have started to draft a Privacy and Security section accordingly. We welcome feedback from the Privacy Interest Group and encourage you to raise Github issues as needed:

 https://github.com/w3c/remote-playback/issues

You may of course reply to this message if that's more convenient for you.

We would appreciate if you could complete the review by January 30th 2017, but let us know if that's too short a schedule.

Thanks,
Francois, Staff Contact of the Second Screen WG
