To pull together various ideas: - Back in October, Liam commented [1] on www-xsl-fo@w3.org: Since XSL-FO uses CSS, a WG to update XSL-FO to use the latest CSS might fly, but a community group could start that too. - The idea of the PPL CG hosting a copy of the XSL 2.0 spec was floated briefly in 2013 [2]. - One of the useful things about the XSL 2.0 draft [3] compared to the XSL 1.1 Rec is that the draft turned every FO, property, and function name into a link to its definition, thanks to a script by Dave Pawson. I'm not saying to revive XSL 2.0, but is there an appetite within the PPL CG to host a copy of the XSL 1.1 spec with better internal linking and with references to more current CSS than the current combination of links to an old spec and to some of its errata?
