Hi Daniel, At TPAC you asked about documentation for common publishing formats other than EPUB. Here is the tool suite and documentation for Amazon's Kindle. Kindle keeps their proprietary .mobi (or KF8) format up to date using the Kindle Publishing Guidelines [1], KindleGen [2] (coverts HTML, EPUB or other stuff to .mobi), and Kindle Previewer (previewing tool that can run Kindlegen and converts .mobi to .azk which is ready for use in Kindle for iOS) [3].
