We've been working on the geo side of mapping coordinates to services (see RFC 5222, for example). As part of the overall architecture, there are service descriptors that label entities. This seems quite relevant to the AR side, as well as obviously the POI part. As part of that effort, the GEOPRIV working group in the IETF has been defining service URNs (RFC 5031) and is discussing how to extend the concept to more general services, such as "bank" or "restaurant". OpenStreet has some terms, but every incomplete and haphazard, i.e., not aligned with common "official" terminology as might be used in NAICS. I wonder if this should be part of the AR/POI WG discussion. Henning Schulzrinne
