That was moved into DOM3Events because it didn't make sense to deprecate the old event initializers without having a replacement. See https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/dom3events/raw-file/tip/html/DOM3-Events.html#idl-def-MouseEventInit We haven't updated UI Events recently because we've been focusing on finishing D3E. But we have moved some items from UI Events back into D3E when we discovered that they needed to be handled properly in D3E (and couldn't wait for UI Events). Sorry for the confusion this caused you. Overall, this is great news. I'd rather have you depending on D3E than UI Events at this time. -Gary On Fri, Apr 18, 2014 at 10:11 AM, Jacob Rossi <Jacob.Rossi@microsoft.com>wrote: > Pointer Events also depends on the MouseEventInit dictionary defined in UI > Events: > > > https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/pointerevents/raw-file/tip/pointerEvents.html#pointerevent-interface > > https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/d4e/raw-file/tip/source_respec.htm#dictionary-mouseeventinit-members > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Arthur Barstow [mailto:art.barstow@nokia.com] > > Sent: Thursday, April 17, 2014 10:59 AM > > To: Jacob Rossi; Travis Leithead; "Gary Kacmarcik (Кошмарчик)" > > Cc: public-pointer-events@w3.org > > Subject: Pointer Events spec and UIEvents reference > > > > Hi Jacob, Gary, Travis, > > > > During WebApps' April 10 meeting, I mentioned the Pointer Events spec > had a > > normative reference for UIEvents (see [1]).
