Dear all, we gave a presentation to the W3C Digital Publishing IG meeting yesterday which included an overview/history of ODRL and the POE WG scope and deliverables. The slides are here: https://www.w3.org/2016/09/w3c-poe-wg-overview.pdf <https://www.w3.org/2016/09/w3c-poe-wg-overview.pdf> Their meeting minutes are here: https://www.w3.org/2016/09/20-dpub-minutes.html <https://www.w3.org/2016/09/20-dpub-minutes.html> An interesting discussion point was the need to promote the use of ODRL Profiles - as the publishing industry has seen ODRL (and some are mappable to ODRL) but have found it too comprehensive for their current needs - so we should include a clearer message in our Specs to create Profiles of ODRL for specific industry requirements. I will go over the slides at our meeting on Thursday too ;-) Renato Iannella, Monegraph Co-Chair, W3C Permissions & Obligations Expression (POE) Working Group
