Hello Brady,

If you plan on staying over for the week-end, I would recommend staying
Friday and Saturday nights in Nice instead. You'll have more options of
places to visit than time on your hands (I can write a separate email just
for that).

If you decide to stay nearer from the venue, then Antibes is nicer than
Sophia Antipolis. The old town is beautiful and you can go to Cap d'Antibes
to have a nice walk (le sentier du littoral).

Near Antibes, my recommendations would include:

   - Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the Maeght Foundation
   - Vallauris
   - Biot

I find Cannes quite overrated compared to other cities on the coast, but
you can take a boat to visit the Lérins islands from there.
