Paul: Paul Cotton writes: > > There's no resolution yet, and I frankly doubt there will be before our charter issues are resolved. > > I am going to go ahead with the HTML WG CfC but will ensure that it is clear that final approval will require consent of the PF WG. > We have both PF and HTML-A11Y TF approval: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pfwg/2015May/0034.html http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2015May/0018.html Have I misunderstood something? I understood the original request was for PF to agree to automated publishing of this document, i.e. no CfC required heartbeats a la HTML-WG heartbeat procedure. My response was on that question, not on this particular puheartbeat. For the current publication, we're good. We have CfCs concluded, as detailed in the above links. We will get around to the general policy question--it's just going to take us a bit longer. But, the current doc is good to go from the PF and TF process pov. Hope I'm helping clear what seems to have been a misunderstanding! Sorry about that. Clearly, they have been a priority--along with the several publications in our pipeline at the moment. > > I can, however, promise this issue isn't forgotten. We are interested in what the new tools offer us, and plan to evaluate their use after our currently queued publications are out. At that point, after we've evaluated what we like, and perhaps might not like, in the new tools, at that point we will be in a position to decide whether we want to adopt automated heartbeat publication in the sense that the HTML-WG means, namely no CfC required. > > > hth > > Janina > > Paul Cotton writes: > > > We have some pressing items on our current agenda, which is why I told Steve this would take a little time for PF to address. > > > > Can we get an update on PF WG's processing of this request? > > > > /paulc > > > > Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada > > 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 > > Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Janina Sajka [mailto:janina@rednote.net] > > Sent: Friday, April 17, 2015 1:28 PM > > To: Paul Cotton > > Cc: Steve Faulkner; public-html-admin@w3.org; Sam Ruby; Robin Berjon; > > W3C WAI Protocols & Formats; Chaals from Yandex > > Subject: Re: request: move Using WAI-ARIA in HTML to auto publishing > > > > Paul: > > > > The problem is that publication also requires PF approval, and PF has not yet determined its position on auto publishing. > > > > We have some pressing items on our current agenda, which is why I told Steve this would take a little time for PF to address. > > > > Janina > > > > Paul Cotton writes: > > > To satisfy this request we simply need to move this document to Process 2014 and to turn on automatic publication.
