Hi all. While discussing table roles at yesterday's ARIA concall, it was pointed out to me that caption is part of the name calculation for tables. Because captions can contain descriptions -- as suggested in the HTML5 specification [1] -- tables can wind up with some pretty big accessible names. Aren't names supposed to be short?? I don't know what the right answer is, but I opened a bug for it: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28404 --joanie [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/tabular-data.html#the-caption-element
