Thanks Michael, I support this. We will need to reopen some issues then. One thing that would be good would be to distinguish issues that had no actions at all from a glance vs. having to dig through the issue itself. Is there any way to tag these accordingly? Rich Rich Schwerdtfeger From: Michael Cooper <cooper@w3.org> To: PF <public-pfwg@w3.org> Date: 07/25/2014 08:44 AM Subject: Proposal for how to deal with issues and actions and when to close We've been having a lot of confusion for when to keep issues in Tracker open and when to close them. After discussion in a couple fora I suggest we adopt the following principles: If an action item is created to make a document edit that addresses the issue, close the issue even before the action item is completed. We would need to be careful to review both action items and issues when deciding if the plate is clear before key transitions. If an action item is created to make a proposal for how the issue might be addressed, leave the issue open so the group can discuss the proposal. Once a proposal is accepted, the issue can be closed and an action to make the edit created if needed. Michael
