We haven't had the time to write the "simple web UI" software. It's still not clear what functionality that software should have as we've already gotten a number of requests that go far beyond what purl.org is capable of providing. If you know somebody that has the time to write that sort of software, we'd love to try and see if we can get it started. The "too complex for most authors" reason is also one of the reasons why the mailing list exists. Someone can send in a request, or file an issue, and one of the admins can add it to the website. We should mention that in the documentation... https://github.com/perma-id/w3id.org/commit/3b12c0947381fc0db90bfb251d36ee15fa291f9e https://github.com/perma-id/w3id.org/commit/d3f76f0cd835f1ae92b52355bf953ad59c09838d Done... changes are live on the website. The request can be something as simple as: I want a re-direct setup for this URL https://w3id.org/mylink/foo to point to https://example.com/bar/baz/foo using a 301 redirect. Do you think that's acceptable for the near future? We really do need custom software written, but doing so prematurely might prevent people from requesting interesting use cases. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Meritora - Web payments commercial launch http://blog.meritora.com/launch/
