[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The Web Payments Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until 31 
October 2022.

The mission of the Web Payments Working Group is to make payments easier 
and more secure on the Web.

The Working Group charter was extended in March [2] to allow handling of 
a Formal Objection about the proposed charter [3]. That Formal Objection 
has not yet been addressed, to allow progress first on a Formal 
Objection to the advancement of Payment Request API to Recommendation [4].

More information about the Web Payments Working Group can be found on 
its summary page [5], including information about group Chairs, Team 
Contact, and instructions for joining the group.
