The mission of the Web Payments Working Group is to make payments easier and more secure on the Web. The Working Group charter was extended in March [2] to allow handling of a Formal Objection about the proposed charter [3]. That Formal Objection has not yet been addressed, to allow progress first on a Formal Objection to the advancement of Payment Request API to Recommendation [4]. More information about the Web Payments Working Group can be found on its summary page [5], including information about group Chairs, Team Contact, and instructions for joining the group.
