Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The Web Payments Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until 31 
August 2022.

The mission of the Web Payments Working Group is to make payments easier 
and more secure on the Web.

Advisory Committee Review [2] of a new charter [3] ended 17 December 
2021 with one Formal Objection by 51Degrees.

This extension will give W3C additional time to resolve the Formal 
Objections against the Payment Request API Proposed Recommendation as 
well as the Formal Objection to the proposed Working Group charter [4].

More information about the Web Payments Working Group can be found on 
its home page [5].

The group is currently chaired by Gerhard Oosthuizen (Entersekt), 
Praveena Subrahmanyam (Airbnb), and Nick Telford-Reed (Invited Expert).
