Dear Card Payment Security Task Force, Minutes from today’s call: https://www.w3.org/2020/04/29-wpwg-minutes Summary: * General support for the proposed architecture [1] from Discover. A question to address: - Who will host common payment handler? (Also asked by Visa) * Anticipating American Express feedback at next call. * For Visa, value proposition not clear. On big question: - Are there ways to increase persistence? We discuss making it easier to log in (rather than “harder to leave”) as well as (challenging) topic of browser-generated IDs Also, Visa wanted us to be sure the proposal would also work for case of built-in payment handler (in the browser) Next call: 29 April. Thank you, Ian [1] https://github.com/w3c/src/wiki/ProposedArchitecture -- Ian Jacobs <ij@w3.org> https://www.w3.org/People/Jacobs/ Tel: +1 718 260 9447
