If we are going to give advice about isDefinedBy, mine would be "Don't use it". I would also dispute the factuality of the good practice claim. Clutter for no gain. Almost never done in high quality ontologies. Etc. So, I'd go for even more minimalistic, "As this practice is a bit contentious, and the term is not in our scope, and practice might change, we think we should avoid pronouncing on this practice." And maybe a pointer to the many fine fora in which one can discuss practice. Cheers, Bijan.
