I was using Chrome 42 stable and also froze when joining Jitsi, on 2 different computers.

On one of the computer the whole OS froze, had to hard reset the machine.

I was using Version 42.0.2311.152 (64-bit) on OSX and had some difficulties in the Jitsi meeting, not sure about Bernard's Chrome version on Windows that froze and crashed.

Followup on the crash issue, this has been resolved in Chrome 44.0.2398.0 (the current dev version). I don't think the issue exists in 43 and prior.
