FW: Proposal for a small new browser feature used mainly for advertising

Hi everyone,

I had an idea to a small browser feature and Wendy Seltzer from
the W3C BG Improving Web Advertisment directed me towards you.

My goal would be to update the global browser specs and hopefully you are interested in my small proposal
And also can help me getting this to the right person(s).

Part of my work is creating, maintenancing and bugfixing templates for our addelivery
and one of the pains in my neck is the scrollbars as they are different in each browser
And it is hard to calculate them without using tricks so the user doesn't see what the JS is doing.

Also this needs performance without any reason as I would propose to just add the dimensions of the bar
as a new property to the navigator object already existing in every browser,
to just get/read them without using lines of script.
