Morph Module telco follow-up actions

Dear all,

we had a very productive re-start of the morphology module development during Wednesday's telco!

We agreed on the following overall workflow for creating the module:

  1. Finish modelling proposal that addresses all modeling requirements
  2. Apply test data for every vocabulary element
  3. Refine model draft
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 until each vocabulary element is used at least for modeling 2 resources
Since one half of the module is preliminarily finished (cf. [1]) we are focusing now on the second half that addresses the automatic generation of ontolex:Form and ontolex:LexicalEntry resources. Max will present the latest status of the diagram draft and summarize the vocabulary we discussed before the module development paused to provide the continuation point for us.

Further, we decided to collect representation requirements again, also with focus on the scope and granularity of modeling the generation of morphological data. In this respect I would like to invite all of you to enter representation needs you would like the module to be expressible. You can enter them in this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1z1HjQ0_WmdQwdRoktSFPGewOkzcHesdJiz0O4CFX1Q8/edit?usp=sharing .

As you can see in the workflow above, we will need representative test data to evaluate the module drafts. You are welcome to add data to this folder where we collect all test data https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hNOj5qm34J7uGJrsudI4eDuQAMCFFfzv?usp=sharing . We will also reach out to the researchers involved in Nexus Linguarum to encourage them to contribute test data but also to increase collaboration and involvement that will contribute to a wider applicability of the morphology module.

Looking forward to talking to you in the next telco on February, 3rd at 1pm CET.

All the best,
Bettina
