RE: Next call of ontolex community group

Dear Philipp

With regard to Manuel’s suggestion, my experience with 7-person skype meetings is good. Are we more than 25 in this discussion group?

Regards
Ilan

Dear Philipp

I've not verified it by myself, but I found a documentation page telling that Skype (now) supports group calls with up to 25 participants (https://www.skype.com/en/features/group-calls/).

25 is definitely less that the 104 participants in the OntoLex group, but I don't know if it is still sufficient.

Regards,
Manuel

Hi all,

it was brought to my attention that some people have an issue using the Powwownow service due to the associated costs. I understand this very well.

The thing is: most reliable video/audio conferencing systems that I know of either cost a fee or operate a freemium model with a maximum number of participants.

If you have any suggestions, which free conferencing service we could use, let me know please.

Kind regards,

Philipp

Dear all,

I hope you all had some time to relax during the summer break.

This is a gentle reminder that we agreed to have our next call of the ontolex community on September 5th, 14:00 CEST (12:00 UTC).

Here is the entry for the call in our wiki:

@Julia: you wanted to work out the examples for the different options in RDF mentioned below as far as I remember. Is there any progress on this?

Yes, I am working on new diagrams and RDF examples for these options. After our last telco I've been receiving some feedback and ideas from the community for other approaches (e.g. a division of DictionaryEntry in DictionaryEntryComponent(s) in analogy to tabular data models) as well as further examples for the issues listed on the Wiki [https://www.w3.org/community/ontolex/wiki/Lexicography]. I will update that section along today and Monday morning with everything.

Best,

Julia

DictionaryEntry as a group of lexical senses

DictionaryEntry as a group of lexical entries

DictionaryEntry as a group of lexical senses and/or lexical entries

LexicalDictionaryEntry [?] as a group of lexical entries and SenseDictionaryEntry [?] as a group of lexical senses.

As a further point in the agenda I would like to discuss which concrete cases of lexicographic resources we want to focus on.

Talk to you then!

Philipp
