Dear Renato, all, Enso and I met with industry people behind DAML https://daml.com/ This is a block chain based smart contract solution and they seem to be interested in ODRL as an exchange format for rights/permissions/obligations.. we discussed the option that a DAML<->ODRL mapping could be developed. I invited the DAML developers to join the CG for this. Enso created a short report that could be presented next week and we could see if there is a more general interest in the mapping. Cheers and thanks dF Dr. David Filip =========== Convenor, JTC 1/SG 1 Open Source Software, Convenor, JTC 1/SC 42/WG 3 Trustworthiness of AI | National mirror chair, NSAI TC 02/SC 18 AI | Head of the Irish national delegation, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 AI | Chair & Editor, OASIS XLIFF OMOS TC | Secretary & Lead Editor, OASIS XLIFF TC | NSAI expert to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 38 Cloud Computing, ISO TC 37/SC 3 Terminology management, SC 4 Language resources, SC 5 Language technology Moravia Research Fellow ADAPT Centre KDEG, Trinity College Dublin Mobile: +420-777-218-122 On Wed, May 29, 2019 at 1:45 PM Renato Iannella <r@iannel.la> wrote: > Dear CG, please see the request below. > > Of interest to us is Section 8 "License and rights statements” > > We will discuss on Monday’s call (or send email comments…) > > R > > Begin forwarded message: > > *From: *pedro winstley <pedro.win.stan@googlemail.com> > *Subject: **Wide Review of Data Catalog Vocabulary Version 2* > *Date: *29 May 2019 at 05:50:51 AEST > *To: *david.filip@adaptcentre.ie, r@iannel.la, vrodriguez@fi.upm.es, > mwsteidl@newsit.biz > *Cc: *team-dxwg-chairs@w3.org > > Dear David and other colleagues > > I am writing as Chair of the W3C Dataset Exchange Working Group in your > roles as Chairs of the W3C ODRL Community Group. > > I am requesting your assistance in facilitating the 'wide review' of the > draft version 2 of the Data Catalog Vocabulary (DCAT) that the working > group is proposing to put forward for Candidate Recommendation. > > The draft is available at > https://www.w3.org/TR/2019/WD-vocab-dcat-2-20190528/ > > We welcome both comments of support as well as suggestions for improvement > or questions. > > Please can you route these through the public email route: > public-dxwg-comments@w3.org in the next 2-3 weeks > > Many thanks for your help > > Peter Winstanley > > >
