if you don't follow the tag list and missed edge conf i would highly recommend watching the service workers/offline bit below, its related to some things various folks in this group have been working on. I shared that early work with Alex and Jake months ago and I feel like what's presented there addresses many of the same things now. I am very excited for this work. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "Arthur Barstow" <art.barstow@nokia.com> Date: Sep 25, 2013 5:04 PM Subject: Re: Mandatory Viewing for Next Week To: Martin J. Alex provides a nice overview of the issues with HTML5 offline and a short introduction to the Promise-based "Service Workers" (previously called "Navigation Controller"). Service Workers use an "in-browser proxy" architecture to request resources from the server and to return locally cached resources when they are available. See < https://github.com/slightlyoff/ServiceWorker/blob/master/explainer.md> for more info on Service Workers. > > * Legacy clients <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al3SEbeK61s> @ 2:21:00 > > * Payments <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al3SEbeK61s> @ 3:20:00 >
