What about this The second reason for an extensible Web is to create flexibility for the future. When APIs are created, mistakes happen. It is normal. No process can be free of mistakes. The Web is by nature distributed and decentralized and the designed APIs are complex, it takes time to develop them and often mistakes become irreversible.
