Advance notice: Work in progress on DID Methods Working Group Charter

Hello,

This is an advance notice that the W3C Team is currently working on a
charter for a DID Methods Working Group:
  https://w3c.github.io/did-methods-wg-charter/2025/did-methods-wg.html

The mission of the DID Methods Working Group is to standardize DID
Methods that use Web technologies.

The draft charter was originally discussed and drafted in collaboration
with the DIF Web Incubator Community Group [1].

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, you're welcome to raise issues at:
  https://github.com/w3c/did-methods-wg-charter/issues

W3C Members may discuss on the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>.

We anticipate formal Advisory Committee review of the charter to begin
in July.

If you should have any questions or need further information, please
feel free to contact Pierre-Antoine Champin <pierre-antoine@w3.org>.

This announcement follows section 4.1 of the Process Document:

Thank you,

For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead;
