Advance notice: Work in progress on JSON-LD Working Group Charter; Current Charter Extended

Hello,

This is an advance notice that the W3C Team is currently working on a
new charter [1] for the JSON-LD Working Group.

The mission of the JSON-LD Working Group is to maintain and extend the
family of JSON-LD 1.1 Recommendations and related Working Group Notes.

The objective of the new charter is to align the JSON-LD specifications
with the upcoming RDF 1.2 specifications, and to move to REC track the
work on YAML-LD and CBOR-LD incubated in the JSON-LD Community Group.

The current charter [2] is hereby extended to 31 July 2025, to allow the
JSON-LD WG to continue its work and to cover the time needed for the
rechartering process to complete.

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, you're welcome to raise issues at:
   https://github.com/json-ld/json-ld-wg-charter/issues

W3C Members may also discuss on the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>.

If you should have any questions or need further information, please
feel free to contact Pierre-Antoine Champin <pierre-antoine@w3.org>.

A formal Advisory Committee Review for this charter is expected in 2025 Q2.

More information about the JSON-LD WG can be found on its home page [3].
